Upcoming Activities
Construction Moves Forward with Foundation Work this Summer
On June 1, foundation work began with pile driving for Phase 1 of the Pilgrim-Triton Master Plan. Pile driving involves a pile driving rig to drive, or effectively hammer, piles into soil to overcome settlement and support the subsequent slab foundations that are placed on grade for the buildings and parking structure. To limit the duration of pile driving, two pile driving rigs have been employed to expedite the process.
All pile work will be conducted within the designated construction hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pile driving activities are scheduled to be complete by July 1. We thank you for your patience while crews work to complete this phase of construction as quickly as possible.
Construction framing anticipated to begin in August 2011 once foundations have been placed. The noise generated by the construction activities that follow piles will be imperceptible by comparison.
Construction Hours

Construction Mitigation Measures
As part of the project conditions and requirements, a comprehensive construction mitigation monitoring program will be implemented. Construction mitigation measures address a range of impacts, including traffic, parking, truck routes, noise, dust control, landscape protection, emergency access, stormwater pollution protection, and public safety.
Key mitigation measures of interest to the community include:
- Using only approved truck routes for hauling materials for the project
- Providing an off-street location for construction-related parking
- Delivering construction materials between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Minimizing dust by watering the site when needed
- Employing erosion control measures to prevent sediment runoff
Construction Schedule
Phase 1 is currently the only approved phase moving forward with construction. Additional phases are contingent on specific site plan approval and market demand. The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances, please check back in with us periodically.
Construction activities related to Phase 1 include: utilities, pile driving, site grading, foundations, framing, and landscaping.
